SCAD-ATL, will be hosting their own Motion Graphics, Animation, and Visual Effects event this coming November 15th, called MEZMR ’08. The event will have special guest from local Atlanta Post Production Houses speaking about the industry, their experiences, and their work. Students work will also be featured in the show, so make sure to submit your work to Professor Burge, by uploading it to the professor station in room 308. Please follow the following steps to submit your work.
1) Create a folder under the MEZMR ’08 folder with your first and last name, ex: Lieze Truter.
2) Make sure each project you are submitting is full Quicktime “Animation” quality, which is the default setting selected when you render your project out of After Effects. If you’re not sure if your project you already have is not full animation or not, you can click “command” and “i” on the file. That will bring up the info tab, which will tell you the compression of the file you have. It should say “Animation” if it is full animation quality.
3) Name each project with your first initial, last name, underscore, project name, ex: LTruter_BridgeRun.mov
4) Make a TextEdit, or Word Document file that has details about each project (what the goal or objective of the project was), and which class the project was created for and what year. Also include your full name, major, class and anticipated graduation year and semester, ex: Lieze Truter, Broadcast Design and Motion Graphics, Senior (Summer 2009).
5) Make sure to email Professor Burge to let him know you submitted your work.
Each student will be able to have atleast 2 works shown during the showcase, and Professor Burge will pick your best ones from all of the work submitted, so don’t be shy to submit plenty of your work. If you have a demo reel, make sure to put that in as well!
